Tejveer is a legal professional with dual qualification as a Chartered
Accountant, having worked on broad array of matters pertaining to finance, taxation, accounting, financial fraud investigation, corporate consulting, and disputes. He has proficiently handled commercial disputes before High Court, NCLT, facilitated large foreign direct investments in various sectors and provided consulting support for investigations conducted by various Government Authorities like Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Director General of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), Serious Fraud Investigation (SFIO) Etc., for his wide conspectus on corporate and commercial law knowledge specifically in area of Information Technology, Heavy Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Shipping and Entertainment.
His previous work associations include Consultancy at KPMG, Partner at DMD Advocates, an active participating member of the committee of Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and committee for International Tax of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has also addressed at the Asian Meet of International Fiscal Association (IFA).
He has advised several economic bodies, including Sovereign Wealth Funds. As Senior Standing Counsel, he has advised and represented the Indian Revenue, with key focus on international taxation and issues surrounding BEPS and transfer pricing cases. He has numerous reported (~100) judgments to his credit, pertaining to commerce and corporate including tax disputes relating to international treaties, contributing enormously to the evolution of transfer pricing laws in India. He has handled a wide repertoire of commercial disputes. This amalgam of huge corporate consulting experience and commercial litigation sets him apart and makes his skill set unique.
Having a penchant for knowledge, Tejveer has published articles across journals related to commercial law, including on the international trade issue of General Agreement on Trade and Services, and has conducted advisory sessions for statutory bodies. Having dealt with diverse issues in the field of commercial disputes, corporate advisory for multiple corporates and global conglomerates, his experience brings immense value to clients on complex issues which have far-reaching implications.
